2CJC - To See Jesus Christ

Devotional: John 6:33-35 "For the bread of GOD is HE who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world. They said to him, "Sir, give us this bread always. JESUS said to them, "I am the bread of life; whoever comes to ME shall not hunger, and whoever believes in ME shall never thirst.” Therefore! Matthew 22:9 “Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.”

As Saul was apprehended by CHRIST on the road to Damascus, so HIS “all consuming” fire is what we must long for! In our hands, don’t we have unfettered, unhindered access to the best substance for our souls? Why then is it so often a “snack” to us...or a meal that we eat partly once a day?

Come now! What parts of a spiritually, “Well balanced” breakfast, lunch and dinner are we missing? Are we, as the athlete struggling half way through the race, because we ate temporal “sugars” – thus ingesting “worldly highs” which fade quickly?

Encouraging you most of all and speaking directly to myself, so I thrust HIS WORD back into your hands. Open up to HIS everlasting feast, HIS bounty which HE purposefully prepared for us, HIS children. Read, I say, and be filled. Preach, I say, and fill others! Always, I implore you! Serve relentlessly! Amen and amen!

All Consuming!

The savors of a meal begin by catching each aroma…

for each taste is in the air before one eats.

Envisioning the feast with every spice and tempting flavor,

so the guest equates their senses with the dream.

How joyous then when such is found to be as had been seen

with nothing less than “picture perfect” with each bite.

By delivering the sights displayed within HIS Glory’s foyers

so confession fills their tongue with praise – entwined!

Thus compelled these lips as well lift up HIS NAME…with Passion’s breathe and hunger more for Heaven’s WORD to fill my soul!

Considering HIS banquet table – whole – within these hands is held…

I pray THEE, LORD! Consume me for YOUR work!
